Japanese sandwiches, also known as sando- made with katsu or beef sandwiched between shokupan (milk bread), are winning the hearts of Singaporeans. With more restaurants, cafés, or takeouts opening across Singapore, you can find delectable sando at these 9 new places to get your sando fix without flying over to Japan!

1. Boyutei

A new café concept, Boyutei, by one Michelin-starred restaurant, Whitegrass, and Hvala, has opened its door early this year, dishing out contemporary Japanese-French fusion delights!

Indulge in their Ebi Katsu Sando ($22) served with a Japanese sandwich and crispy golden-brown deep-fried prawns accompanied by tomatoes, shredded cabbage, cucumbers, tatar sauce, and homemade chilli sauce.
